By the Grace of God | God Morning #18

God morning my brothers and sisters,

Here’s hoping you all are doing well and enjoying the summer so far.  By now, we have all witnessed the attempt on Donald Trump’s life. It doesn't matter what side of the fence you are on, but at no time is assassination ever a good option.  In one of his recent speeches since the attempt on his life, I heard him say, "I am not supposed to be here," remember, making a turn of his head precisely to look at a sign that the bullet missed within a millimeter of taking his life, followed shortly by, "It is only by the grace of the Almighty God."

This is such a great reminder that we are not in control. Even when we think it is about us, our Lord has an even bigger purpose. Have you ever felt like, "I shouldn't be here?" But by the grace of God, He isn't done with you yet.

In 2015, I met Jonathan Roche, a health and fitness coach, at a convention where he challenged everyone to not only lose weight but also to achieve overall better physical well-being. I joined the contest, and part of it involved getting a full physical with blood tests.  It was during this initial check-up that I discovered I had a high PSA level.

Eight weeks later, the contest concluded, and to my surprise, I won! The prize was a free trip to the Valentin Maya, in the Cancun area, but the real victory was far more significant.  During my final follow-up physical, doctors noticed an even higher PSA level, which led to a diagnosis of prostate cancer. By the grace of God, that contest saved my life. It started my battle to beat cancer and Ironically, I was able to use the trip I won to recover post-surgery and beat cancer.

Today, I stand here as a testament to God’s grace. Through what seemed like a simple contest, He used it for a greater purpose, he wasn't done with me yet. God had me all the way, guiding me to discover my condition in time and providing me with the strength to overcome it.

So, allow me to share with you our Friday Fly-by word of the week.  It comes from 1 Corinthians 15:10 and it says… "But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me." - 1 Corinthians 15:10

Everyone, take comfort in knowing that God’s grace is always with us, guiding us through challenges and turning them into blessings. Trust in His plan, and let His grace be your strength.  As always, hope this encourages you today, Love you all and Be blessed and go be a blessing!
