Hope and Action | God Morning #2

Updated: Aug 11

God Morning, my brothers and sisters! As we step into the weekend, let’s reflect on this past week’s journey.  I trust that all has gone well, and you find yourself moving into the weekend feeling good!  Mine has been a wild ride, one made up of traveling for business, seeing old friends, meeting new ones, starting new businesses, taking the time to enjoy family by seeing a Broadway show to coming home in a storm that we did not realize was reaping havoc in our district.

Last night was no joke, that storm had us driving blind for a moment, but we made it through. Woke up to the news that it hit our area pretty hard. Schools are closed, and there's damage everywhere, but hey, we're tough, and there’s plenty of hope to go around.

It did hit me though that this week had a certain theme to it, two or three times, I heard this statement from different sources, it is this… “Hope is not a strategy.” Kinda stings, but they've got a point. But really, isn't hope that little spark that gets our action moving? It's the thump-thump of our biggest dreams, kicking off the march toward all the awesome stuff we're chasing after.

It had me thinking of our Friday Fly-by word of the week, it is from Proverbs 21:5 and it says…'The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.'  Such a great verse to take in, isn't it?

Here we see that true abundance comes from the combination of hope and diligence. Hope sets our direction, diligence paves our path, and together, they create a strategy that leads to abundance, not poverty of spirit or purpose.

So as our neighborhoods rebuild and repair, just like in our business and in life, let's infuse hope into every plan and action.  Let's use it for our strategy, to dream with direction and to act with intention.

Together, let's learn that hope, coupled with action, is far more than a strategy; it's a pathway to a richer, fuller life. Keep hoping, keep planning, keep doing. Here's to creating abundance in our lives and in our hearts!

I hope this message has touched you today…and as always, be blessed and go be a blessing!  Love you all!
