Good Friday | God Morning #4

Updated: Aug 11

God Morning my brothers and siters, sunrising in what might just be a beautiful day in Ohio…hoping you are all waking to the same.

As we step into this solemn yet significant day of Good Friday, just pause for a sec and remember what today truly signifies.

Today you get to tell the story, not I. Today is also not just about recounting the story of the ultimate sacrifice but about living it out in our actions, big and small. Today can I challenge you and let’s make an intentional shift from our own narratives to focus on acts of love towards others. The essence of Good Friday teaches us about sacrifice and unconditional love, demonstrating how simple acts can carry profound meanings.

So, let’s challenge ourselves: Can we extend an act of love to someone else today? It doesn’t have to be grand; the smallest gesture can make a big difference. Whether it's paying for someone's coffee, giving a dollar to someone in need, genuinely asking "How are you?" and listening to the answer, offering a hug, making that long overdue phone call, or forgiving someone - just make sure to let each action be filled with love. All this leads me to our Friday Fly-by word from Isaiah 53:5, and it says, 'But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds, we are healed.' So powerful, right?!? Someone else paid the price, can you feel that? This verse reminds us of the profound love and sacrifice our Lord made for us. Let's carry this message in our hearts today and let our actions reflect that love.

Let today be about giving love in its most genuine form. Can you do it? Would you take a sec and share your story of love and kindness with others and share it by commenting. You just might inspire someone today. We could all use a bit of inspiration, especially today.

Remember, it’s not about the sacrifice but the love behind it. Let’s spread that love far and wide. Wishing you a day of meaningful actions and heartfelt connections. Love you all, and as always, Be blessed and go be a blessing! Happy Easter everyone!
