Don't Sell Yourself Short | God Morning #1

Updated: Aug 11

God Morning, my brothers and sisters!

Another week gone by, and my hope is your heart is full of gratitude, especially as we prepare to walk into a beautiful weekend. You know, as a business and life coach my everyday encounters are always a mixed bag. I never know what today or any week will bring, and if you take the time to assess your week, you will find a theme, I truly believe that theme is your purpose. This week, it seems that many people I was around, seemed to be concerned, searching, doubting and maybe even uncertain about their futures. In one instance, I found myself in a specific scenario with one of my coachees, she is incredibly talented and gifted in sales but yet this week, there was a bit of doubt. I remember saying to her these words, "Do not sell yourself short." I just felt the need to remind her of a powerful truth, one that resonates deeply within the scriptures and within the essence of who we are in Christ: "Do not sell yourself short."

You see, in business and really in life, it's so easy to underestimate the many gifts and talents that God has bestowed upon each of us. You may find yourself doubting your capabilities or questioning your worth, your VALUE. However, remember that you are God's masterpiece, created in His image, for a purpose far greater than you can imagine.

This leads me to our Friday Fly-By word, and it comes from Ephesians 2:10, and it says, 'For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.' Another awesome word. This verse isn’t just a comforting thought; it's a divine declaration of your inherent value and purpose. You were created with intention, equipped with talents and abilities uniquely yours, all to fulfill the good works that God has set before you.

Selling yourself short is not just underestimating your abilities; it's underestimating God’s power in your life. He didn’t create anyone to be mediocre or to live in the shadows of could-have-beens. You are made with potential that, when aligned with God's will, can bring about transformation in your life and the lives of others.

If you find yourself in this phase, let this day be a turning point. Look within and recognize the talents you’ve perhaps overlooked or undervalued. Remember, life isn't just about stacking up your accomplishments of the past, but it is a road map for the present and future as well. Don’t just focus on the goals, make sure it all aligns with your Values and purpose. I hope this was encouraging to someone today. Go everyone, be blessed and go be a blessing. Love you all, have a great weekend!
