God morning my brothers and sisters,Â
Â
What an incredible week as we debut our company in a conference in Vegas, here is hoping you are all doing well and have had a beautiful week. You know while I was here listening to speakers, a small and probably insignificant sentence was said from stage that was not the main message but it hit me for many. The presenter said 'I always try to meditate in the morning but sometimes there just isn’t enough time.' That hit me because it should be as important and routine as brushing your teeth. Getting quiet and be in your own thoughts, praying and thankful for another day, To be in meditation does not have to be something complicated or burdensome, there is no time limit. It could be quick but deliberate. Here is what I do that might help if you struggle with this…Every morning, before I get out of bed I start with a simple yet powerful ritual that I hope can make a difference for you all. Just before rising, I equip myself with the Armor of God. Yes, I pray to dress myself with the Armor of God and visualize its protective and empowering effects.  Â
Â
I begin by putting on the Helmet of Salvation, thinking about protecting what can influence my mind and what I allow into my brain. Next, I visualize putting on the Breastplate of Righteousness, reminding myself to be grateful for breathes that I am taking to fill my lungs for another day to make a difference and to protect my heart, where my Lord resides. I pray that my heart will be open to love and care for others and be protected from Satan's attempts to rob us of our joy. I then strap on the Belt of Truth, committing to be truthful in all things today. It reminds me that the enemy will try to penetrate with lies, but I am protected by truth and the belt reminds me to stand tall with confidence because of truth. I move on to the Sandals of Peace, visualizing strapping them on and thinking about every situation I will walk into today, walking into every situation with the intent to bring peace, be welcoming and approachable, and that I can recognize the divine appointments that will surely happen.Â
Â
Next, I pray for the strength to carry the Shield of Faith, which helps me block what the enemy will hurl at me in attempts to throw me off my game vocationally, relationally, physically, philanthropically, and especially spiritually. Finally, I ask for the strength and knowledge to wield the Sword of the Spirit, His Word, the Bible, as my weapon of choice to fight off the enemy that wants me to be the opposite of all these things. As Christ said when he was tempted…'According to the WORD.' What a great weapon to fight with.Â
Â
Then just praise him for a great upcoming day and get up. Short, sweet and deliberate. Just like brushing your teeth, it is a must. I encourage you to make this a daily habit before you even step out of bed, to start your day well and equipped. By the way this goes with our Friday Fly-by word of the week, and it is from Ephesians 6:11 and it says, 'Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.'  Â
Â
Take comfort in knowing that He hears and answers even the quickest of prayers. Equip yourself with His Armor and step into your day with confidence and faith. That's it! Love you all and as always, Be blessed and go be a blessing!Â
